Honestly, I’ve never paid much attention to country musician Zach Bryan. I’ve heard his songs, and I knew they were good, but I’m not big on following musicians. So many musicians do not accurately reflect their listeners, and only put on a show. It’s all so currated, a turnoff to say the least. I could do without ever seeing too-tight jeans and a rolled-up Walmart straw hat ever again at a concert. I’m more of a small venue, no name artist kind of gal, as long as that person plays and sings from the heart.
So, Zach Bryan was arrested on Thursday, September 7th, 2023, for interfering with a traffic stop. To sum it up, Zach pulled up to a traffic stop where one of his security guards had been pulled over for speeding. He asked the officer why he was taking so long, and then the officer told him to go back to his car or he would get arrested, to which Zach replied, “I’ll go to jail, let’s do it.”
Needless to say, Zach was arrested for Interrupting an Investigation and later apologized on social media for the event calling himself an “idiot.” You can check it out here:
Ok, ok, Zach, we’re all proud of you for owning your bad decision. But I can’t help but giggle a little bit that you were acting like the exact kind of idiot, that most of us love. The one that takes things a little too far. That pushes a little too much. That tries to get his buddy out of trouble when he’s in a bind. Maybe the only thing that was missing was the more responsible girlfriend or wife that was yelling from the truck, “Zach, stop, get back in the truck!” or maybe she was there. Who knows, but you owned it and for that I’m a little bit more of a Zach Bryan fan.
After seeing the news, I went to YouTube to listen to some Zach Bryan tunes and I’m quite impressed and not sure why I haven’t been a bigger fan in the past, as you are the same singer that I would love to hear at our small-town venues. The first video “Something in the Orange” seemed real and genuine. As most of the video seems to be produced from organic video captured from sunsets.
Well Zach, I’m glad you’re back home, please be nice to our officers, even if it is authentic.
