Talented Overachiever

I’m not a basketball fan but I do have a strong appreciation for athletes and athletes that succeed at the level that Kobe Bryant did. A few years ago I decided to dive head first into sports psychology books and podcasts. I’ve listened to countless hours of podcasts and have read dozens of sports psychology and psychology books. In that time I can tell you that the Leaders in the field often used Kobe as an example of hard work and dedication. It was often mentioned that he was usually the first one to practice and the last one to leave. He embraced his desire to master his sport and he wasn’t afraid of hard work. He said in interviews that he wanted to be remembered later in life as a “Talented Overachiever.” Rest In Peace Kobe and prayers to his family and friends of the others that lost their lives in the crash, which also included his young daughter.
